Konflikt '47's five new starter armies swap resin for plastic

Warlord Games revealed five new starter armies for Konflikt '47 on 11 September 2026, and pre-orders opened the same day. It's a few weeks old by the time you read this, but it's still the headline Konflikt '47 news, and the pre-orders were still live on Warlord's store when we checked on 27 October.

The five boxes

• Soviet Bloc Elite Operational Group: Ursus infantry, two new plastic DM-40 Molot medium walkers and a resin Platoon Commander.
• Axis Sonderkampfgruppe: plastic Totenkorps and Stahltruppen, two Vogelspinne, a Nachtzehrer or Infernospinne, and a resin Stahltruppen commander.
• British Commonwealth Automated Battalion: 20 Mk I Automated Infantry, a Mk IIC Director, a Mk II squad, and a Percival kit that also builds the Hornet and a new third variant. Warlord describes it as the first fully plastic Konflikt '47 starter.
• United States Rapid Deployment Force: plastic Firefly infantry, Linebacker jump walkers, a new Grizzly kit that builds the Grizzly, Bruin or Kodiak, and a resin commander.
• Empire of Japan Long Range Penetration Group: plastic Ghost Attack Infantry, a Platoon Commander in Assault Frame Heavy Armour, and two new plastic Chi-Nu tanks.

What it means for the range

The big theme is plastic taking over from resin. Every box brings new walkers or variants, and the British box is the one to look at if you want an all-plastic start. If you already own Konflikt '47 models, Warlord says they stay supported, so this isn't a reset.

Warlord also says rules for the new armies will be added to the free PDF army lists and the app before release.

Warlord's store lists the US box as due in November 2026. That's Warlord's date, from its store, so check the listing for the latest, and for the other boxes.
