Seven new Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce boxes are heading for Christmas
Games Workshop has revealed seven new Battleforces for Warhammer 40,000, from Space Marines and Blood Angels to Necrons and Chaos Knights, aimed squarely at the Christmas period.
Games Workshop announced on 19 October 2026 that seven new Battleforce boxes for Warhammer 40,000 are on the way, and it's pitching them at the Christmas period. If you've been waiting for a good moment to start a new army, or to top up one you already have, this is a wide drop: seven different forces in one go.
What's in the seven boxes
According to Games Workshop, the line-up is:
- Space Marines: Indomitus Task Force: a Captain in Terminator Armour, a Chaplain, a Redemptor Dreadnought, five Terminators, five Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs and ten Intercessors.
- Chaos Knights: Helhunt Lance: a Knight Ruinator and four War Dog Stalkers, both with alternative builds.
- Orks: Armoured Blitzmob: a Warboss in Mega Armour, a Battlewagon or Gunwagon, a Deff Dread, three Meganobz and ten Ork Boyz.
- Space Wolves: Champions of Fenris: Logan Grimnar, Arjac Rockfist and fifteen Wolf Guard Terminators.
- Blood Angels: Angelus Assault Force: Commander Dante, a Chaplain with Jump Pack, a Death Company Brutalis Dreadnought, three Sanguinary Guard, five Death Company with Jump Packs and an Upgrade Frame.
- Chaos Space Marines: Cult of Destruction: a Warpsmith, a Defiler, a Venomcrawler, two Obliterators, five Havocs and three Mutilators.
- Necrons: Disciples of the Nekrosor: the C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer, Nekrosor Ammentar, three Ophydian Destroyers, a Canoptek Doomstalker, ten Necron Warriors and three Canoptek Scarab Swarms.
Why it's worth a look
Two things stand out. First, the spread: Blood Angels and Space Wolves get a box each alongside the Space Marines, and Chaos Knights are in the mix too. Second, each box pairs a handful of characters with a core of troops, so they read as a ready-made way into an army, or a quick way to add to one.
A few of the kits also come with alternative builds, such as the Chaos Knights, the War Dogs, and the Battlewagon or Gunwagon in the Ork box, so there's some choice at the workbench.
What we don't know yet
Games Workshop says the boxes will be up for pre-order "soon". The announcement gives no dates and no prices, so we're not going to guess at either. The article also teases Age of Sigmar and Horus Heresy offerings, which we'll cover as they're confirmed.
If one of these is calling to you, keep an eye on the Legion shop.
