Khazalite Holds: a brand-new duardin faction for Age of Sigmar

Games Workshop has revealed Khazalite Holds, a new duardin faction with its own battletome and an Army Set that gives you a Spearhead force out of the box.

Age of Sigmar is getting a new faction, and it isn't a refresh of an old one. Khazalite Holds is a new duardin force from Games Workshop, with its own battletome. The Army Set was shown in a Sunday Preview on 11 October 2026 and listed for pre-order in Games Workshop's round-up on 17 October.

The Army Set

Games Workshop says the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Khazalite Holds Army Set contains:

  • Hjulda Drakkblud
  • 10 Clanshields
  • 3 Gholems of Gazul
  • 1 Oathkeeper Cannon, which can be built as a Stonebreaker Mortar
  • Battletome: Khazalite Holds, with a cover that only comes with the set
  • 53 warscroll cards

Together they make the Drakkblud's Clanguard Spearhead force, so you can play straight away. If you want a quick way into a brand-new army, that's the headline.

Clanshields and Armies of Renown

Games Workshop's kit focus on the Clanshields describes a 10-model kit with interchangeable shields, heads and weapons, plus optional command models. That's plenty of room to make a unit your own, which will suit anyone who likes to experiment with colour schemes on the shields.

The new battletome also covers three Armies of Renown, and Games Workshop has been showing how you can mix your favourite duardin into Khazalite Holds armies. Other kits mentioned include High Kyng Valankrom on his War Throne, the Valayan Guardians and more Gholems.

What we don't know

Games Workshop describes the Army Set as only available while stocks last, and its 17 October article calls it a "limited quantity". None of the announcements gives a price or a release date, so we won't guess. The faction itself was first shown at Games Workshop's autumn preview in September, but we've anchored this post on the October articles.

If a new duardin army sounds like your next project, keep an eye on the Legion shop.
